What a busy few months we’ve had! Dave finished school, so he is a full blown professional cook now. I picked up a second job as a waitress in addition to my cooking job. Dave, Bruce, and I also moved down the street to a slightly bigger apartment! Before, we just had a very small kitchen with 1 sq. foot of counter space. I don’t know how we managed. It’s really cool to have a bigger kitchen so both of us can prep and cook at the same time. It’s only been a few weeks here and already the space has made a huge difference. Stay tuned for some great things coming out of our kitchen soon.
Also, we have officially been blogging for a whole year! Very excited about this and we had no idea where this whole project was going but are happy with what we have made. It’s very cool to see how our our cooking has evolved over this past year. Cooking is one of those skills where you’ll always be learning, and we look forward to see how we’ve grown another year from now. Speaking of growing, Bruce has grown quite a bit in the last year as well.
This week, we have a really great simple recipe for the end of summer (and for busy people) – Panzanella Salad. For those who don’t know, a Panzanella Salad is a bread salad. This salad is a great way to use up some stale bread, and especially great during tomato season.
The year has been a good one and we hope that you had some great moments this year as well. We are looking forward to what this next year of blogging has to offer and as always, we are on the look out for some fun and interesting things to whip up in the kitchen. Until next time,
